Sydney Murals is built on a genuine respect for the art of mural painting. We do not use AI to generate our concepts or replace the artist’s creative process. Every project is developed through human ideas, experience and hands-on artistic skill.
Because Sydney Murals was founded by a practising mural artist, every commission is approached with an understanding of both the creative process and what artists need to produce their best work. We believe in supporting artists, developing large-scale painting skills and keeping the human element at the centre of public art, while still delivering original, professional outcomes for our clients.

We offer mural design and production, concept development, workshops and creative consultation for schools, businesses, councils and community organisations. From the first idea through to delivery, we can support the creative process and help shape a project that suits the site, audience and budget.

We start with a conversation to understand your project, goals and site requirements. From there, our team can attend the site, assess the space and prepare a detailed quote based on the information provided.
Once the deposit is paid, we move into concept development, with two design revisions included if needed. Before installation, we prepare the required SWMS and coordinate all access equipment, PPE and site logistics.
We then complete the mural on site and, where specified, finish it with an anti-graffiti clear coat for added protection. Sydney Murals manages the entire process from initial concept through to final delivery, making the experience as straightforward and professionally coordinated as possible.

Council approval may be required for an external mural depending on the location, the building and the rules of the relevant local council. In many cases, a commissioned mural may not need formal approval if it is purely decorative, has the property owner’s consent and is not on a heritage-listed building.
Approval is more likely to be needed where the mural includes advertising or branding, affects a heritage property, involves changes to the building, or requires the use of public roads or footpaths during installation.
Because requirements vary between councils and states, we recommend checking with your local authority before work begins. Where needed, Sydney Murals can also help identify the approvals and site requirements that may apply to your project.

Every mural project is unique with different conditions, sizing and locations. pricing is dependent on subject matter, scale and surface quality. The easiest way is to be transparent about your budget so we can know what is possible to achieve the best result for you

We’re based in Greater Sydney, but work across regional NSW and interstate, offering mural and public art services throughout Australia. Where possible, we prefer to carry out an in-person site inspection before quoting, however for regional or interstate projects we can also assess the site remotely using photos, measurements and a digital consultation.
